TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DOTROTTER is a platform and service to connect world travelers and locals (professional travellers) with families and projects around the world (Hosts) to enable cultural exchange, learning possibilities, skills and information exchange and to help out in countries across the world (collectively, the Services.)

The Services are accessible at listing.dotrottetr.com (Site).

By using the Site or Services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and to be legally bound by them and by our Data Protection policy (collectively referred as Terms), whether or not you become Host or professional traveler. Any use of the Site is governed by the Terms.

The site enables Hosts and professional traveler to connect. You agree that DOTROTTER is not a party to any agreements entered into between Hosts and professional traveler nor is DOTROTTER a travel agency web platform, an organised exchange program, an agent or an insurer. DOTROTTER  do not monitor the Hosts and professional traveler and disclaims all liability in this regard.

Eligibility

DOTROTTER AB aims at connecting adults over 18 years old any use of the Site by anyone under 18 is expressly prohibited. By using the Site or Services you expressly warrant that you are an adult over 18 years old.

No Warranty

DOTROTTER AB does not warranty any Listing (as defined below in article 3) or quality of accommodation. You understand that the pictures on the Site are for information only and in the responsibility of Hosts and professional traveler.

You acknowledge that in case you would seek any legal remedy for actions or omissions of professional travelers or Hosts, or any third parties, you will not claim any liability against DOTROTTER AB. 

How DOTROTTER works

Hosts can register with a DOTROTTER executive agent for free to create a listing which describes the type of cultural exchange and help needed (a “Listing”)

When a Host is registered, professional travelers are able to contact the host through the Site.

Professional travelers are also provided access to a monthly advisory webinar.

Although Listings can be viewed without registering, Hosts and professional travelers must create an account or being verified by DOTROTTER AG end first to be able to contact each other.

A nominal fee is charged to hosts to register one ad enabling them to:

Create a profile, upload photos, read feedback, leave feedback;

Be contacted professional travelers;

Be in contact by other Hosts;

Contact other professional travelers;

Contact professional travelers (third-part) regarding feedback;

View and participate in the monthly advisory webinar.

Access to 24/7 human help-desk support, (including active advice on writing a profile, travel related advice and problem solving.);

Access to an emergency 24/7 support button prioritizing support or well writing to hello@dotrotter.com;

A personal reference letter provided by our support team ( after 2 successful exchanges have taken place and feedback has been left);

Enter our monthly photograph competition;

Verify their identity using a Facebook plugin, or the security regulations that will be specified on a e-mail.

DOTROTTER AG 24/7 human help-desk support and emergency 24/7support button do not constitute a guarantee that your problem will be solved but only a commitment from DOTROTTER AB or DOTROTTER Ag to try to provide you with helpful information

As stated above, DOTROTTER AB is not a party to any agreement between Hosts and professional travelers, neither is DOTROTTER a travel agency, organized exchange program, an agent or an insurer. 

Hosts Registration and Obligations

When registering as a Host, you agree and confirm that:

You are responsible for your own account security and you will not share your account details with any other person;

You will use your real name, address and contact details;

All other information you provide will be accurate and true;

You either own the accommodation you are offering through DOTROTTER, or have suitable permissions in place to allow professional travelers to stay with you;

If you require more than volunteer help and cultural exchange then you will supplement financially to at least meet the minimum wage of the country you are in.

Any professional travlers you accept will genuinely benefit from the cultural exchange.

As a registered Host, you acknowledge that:

You are using DOTROTTER entirely at your own risk and we expressly exclude all liability for any loss or damage you, your family, your reputation, your business or your property may suffer as a result of using DOTROTTER;

DOTROTTER AB do not screen the identity of any professional travlers and you are solely responsible for ensuring that any person you accept is who they say they are;

You are solely responsible for complying with the relevant rules and laws in your jurisdiction (if any) especially with regard to tax, insurance and visas.

You will keep your Listing up to date, and if no longer valid or required, promptly update it or remove it from the Site.

As part of your Listing, you are required to upload a photo of your location or accommodation. When doing so:

You grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty free, worldwide licence to use that photo on your Listing and elsewhere on or in connection with DOTROTTER;
You warrant that it is your own photo and our use of the photo will not infringe the rights of any other person.

As stated above, you acknowledge that DOTROTTER AB and DOTROTTER AG is not set up to provide or replace local employment opportunities. It is your responsibility to define and comply with this. DOTROTTER will remove or edit your Listing if we believe (in our sole discretion) that it infringes or violates another person’s rights or any laws in any country.

Professional Travelers Registration and Obligations

When registering as a professional traveler, you agree and confirm that:

You are responsible for your own account security and you will not share your account details with any other person;

You are over 18 years old, or if different, the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction;

You will use your real name, address and contact details;

All other information you provide will be accurate and true;

You acknowledge that:

You will not be able to contact Hosts or view the advisory webinar until you have paid our fees. Payment may be made by Paypal, swish, Klarna, credit card or by gift code;

DOTROTTER AB is a platform and service for contact. Your suitability will depend on the profile you write. We are not an agency and we do not guarantee that you will find a suitable Host; Though we are available to help and provide advice.

Though we actively encourage it we cannot guarantee that any Host you contact after registering will respond to your query or be available at any particular time or on any particular dates;

Once registered, Hosts will also be able view your profile and to contact you if interested;

We do not screen the identity of any Hosts and you are solely responsible for ensuring that any person you accept is who they say they are;

You are fully responsible for investigating whether your chosen Host and the accommodation and opportunities they are offering are suitable for you and your needs;

You are using DOTROTTER entirely at your own risk and we expressly exclude all liability for any loss or damage you, your family, your reputation, your business or your property may suffer as a result of using DOTROTTER;

You are solely responsible for complying with the relevant rules and laws in your jurisdiction (if any) especially with regard to your visas. 

DOTROTTER AB reserves the right to remove and terminate any account without warning.
You must be tolerant to ways of living and be sympathetic with any rules set by the Host.

 Hosts and professional travelers conduct

By using the Site and Service you agree that you are solely responsible for compliance with any law, rule, regulation, that may apply to your relationship with any Host, Professional travelers or any third party. You acknowledge that you will not:

Violate these Terms, any law or regulation, or any order of a court

Use the Site or Services for illegal purpose, especially to breach violate DOTROTTER AB Data Protection policy or Terms; 

Use the Site or Services for commercial purpose or other purpose that would violate the Terms or any law;

Imply in any way any partnership between Workaway and you or any endorsement or affiliation with DOTROTTER AB;

Harm in any way DOTROTTER's reputation, brand or image including through unauthorized use of the Site or Services, infringement of DOTROTTER's intellectual property rights, passing off, registration and/or use of DOTROTTER AB domain names, trademarks or logos or any other identifier that would create a confusion with DOTROTTER AB or imply a connection with DOTROTTTER AB;

Harass any Host or DOTROTTER AB or collect or store any personal data about them other than for purposes of the Service or engage in any abusive  behavior;

Offer a professional traveler to stay in any accommodation without any permission or authorization or submit any Listing with false or misleading information;

Register for more than one professional traveler or Host account or register for a DOTROTTER Account on behalf of an individual other than yourself, or  falsify or misrepresent yourself;

Recruit or solicit any Host or professional traveler to join third-party services or websites that are competitive to DOTROTTER, without DOTROTTER AB prior written approval;

Send the same text to multiple members via the messaging system. This is considered spam. There are automated filters which can detect if these types of message are being sent which can lead to messaging being suspended on any account where this is detected;

Use any software or devices to access in any way any authorized web pages  on the Site or attempt to harm, decipher, decompile any of the softwares used to provide the Site or Services;

Damage the Site or Services, including, through the use of viruses, Trojan horses, forged routing or electronic mail address information or similar methods or technology;

Collect or retrieve data from our Site to compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, database, directory, or otherwise

Encourage, promote or assist any third party in doing any of the foregoing. 

DOTROTTER AB reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, (i) to remove or disable access to the Site or Services at its sole discretion, in case of violation of the Terms; (ii) to investigate and prosecute any violation of the Terms (iii) to disclose any of your information if required to do so by law.

Misconduct

If you feel someone is violating the Terms and acting inappropriately, you should immediately report such person to the appropriate authorities and then to DOTROTTER AB.

If an account has been removed, terminated it is not possible to set up a second account.

Safety

You acknowledge that you have read and understood our Site safety guidelines and that DOTROTTER AB is not, in any way, responsible for guaranteeing the safety of any Hosts, professional traveler or any person associated with either of them.

Gift codes

You may purchase a subscription to DOTROTTER AB as a gift code to give another person.

When purchasing a gift code, you must provide the name of the recipient. 

Gift codes are non-transferable and may only be used by the recipient whose name should be provided at the time of purchase.

Once payment is received, the gift code will be emailed to your chosen recipient, who may use it when registering as a professional traveler or dottrotter host.

Privacy

By using the Site and Service you agree that DOTROTTER's Data Protection policy governs DOTROTTER's collection and use of your personal data and information. 

The Data Protection maybe updated by DOTROTTER AB from time to time.

Miscellaneous

You agree to indemnify DOTROTTER AB against any claims, actions, proceedings, losses, damages, expenses and costs (including without limitation court costs and legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of DOTROTTER AB.

DOTROTTER AB may contain links or references to third party websites. Any such links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over third party websites and accept no legal responsibility for any content, material or information contained in them. The display of any link or reference to any third party website does not mean that we endorse that website, product or service.

Services are fully delivered at the point of fee payment.  DOTROTTER AG  strives to provide full access, to variable list of hosts. However we cannot guarantee or refund under any circumstances once fee payment has been collected

DOTROTTER AG and DOTROTTER AB may retract or change their services at any time without notice or refund.

You acknowledge that DOTROTTER AB and DOTROTTER AG is a service to enable contact and does not act as an agent or is party to any exchange you organise.

We may modify the Terms from time to time. You agree to be bound by any changes made by us. It is your responsibility to check the Terms from time to time to verify such changes.

These terms are governed by Hong Kong law and any disputes which might arise between you and us in relation to DOTROTTER AB will be heard in the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish and EEA courts, unless we both agree otherwise.
